Created by Sarah Lindblad as a companion to her coloring books and field guides.

Using your references

Look at more than the bloom.

Compare flowers, leaves, stems, and the whole plant. Use the scientific name printed in your book when exploring reference photographs. Natural colors vary, and community identifications can be mistaken.

This companion supports coloring and botanical appreciation. It is not a definitive identification key or a guide to eating or using wild plants. Absence of a warning does not establish safety.

These links open reference searches on external sites. Compare several photographs and check that the scientific name matches.

Curated color photographs are being prepared for this specimen.
